Registered in England in 1905, control of the company transferred to Australia in 1921. At the same time the company acquired the electricity related rights of the Electric Lighting and Traction Company of Australia in Adelaide and Port Adelaide. The company was "nationalised", that is, it became a South Australian state government authority and was delisted from the Stock Exchange in 1947. |
