The company was incorporated in 1913. It was formed to take over the Australian Wireless Company and the Australian branch of Marconi's Wireless Telegraph Co Ltd. For a period of time the company was partly owned by the Commonwealth Government. Adopting it's Australian Stock Exchange code the company changed it's name to A.W.A. Limited in 1988. |
