The Savings Bank of Port Phillip (1842 - 1853)

Established under New South Wales legislation the Savings Bank of Port Phillip was administered by a Board of Trustees and a Vice-president of Branches, In 1853 a statutory body known as The Commissioners of Savings Banks in the Colony of Victoria took over the management of the bank.
