Fred Walker & Company Pty Ltd (1921 - 1939)

Formed in 1921 when Fred Walker and Company was incorporated.. The founder of Walker and Company was Fred Walker.

In 1925 Walker visited the United States and met with J.L. Kraft, the founder of the Kraft Cheese Company. The result of this meeting was an agreement between Walker and Kraft to establish a business in Australia to manufacture processes cheese under the Kraft patent. Hence the Kraft Walker Cheese Company Pty Ltd was formed.

Following Walker's death in 1935 the Kraft Walker Cheese Company Pty Ltd acquired the paid up shares of Fred Walker and Company Pty Ltd and the business was eventually liquidated in 1939.
