Waltons-Sears Limited (1955 - 1959) |

In 1954 Amalgamated Retailers Limited changed its name to to Walton's Limited. Sears Rosbuck & Co of Chicago, USA took up a 50% interest in the company by way of 5/- 'A' ordinary shares in 1955 and the company changed it's name to Waltons-Sears Limited. In 1959 Sears Roebuck agreed to sell all its share holding to ordinary share holders. Following this the company name reverted to Waltons Limited. |
