Summary
Established by the Chamber of Manufacturers of New South Wales in 1912 the company changed it's name to Manufacturers Mutual Insurance Company Limited in1920.
1960 saw the company acquire The Western Australia Insurance Company Limited. Other acquisitions followed: Chamber of Manufacturers Insurance, 1989; Switzerland Insurance, 1993.
1995 saw a name change to MMI Limited and in the late 1990s the company was acquired by Allianz Australia Limited.
