Marcus Clarke and Company Limited was incorporated in New South Wales on 16 October 1902 to take over the drapery and general merchandise business founded by Henry Marcus Clark in 1883. In 1926 the company took over the established retail business of Craig Williamson Pty Ltd and in 1927 Miller Anderson Ltd. In 1966 the company was take over by Waltons Limited and changed its name to Waltons Stores Limited. In 1987 (?) it formed part of a sale to Venture Stores (Retailers) Pty Ltd. |
