Summary

The Bodalla Estate on the south coast of NSW was purchased by T S Mort in 1860 and developed for dairy farming and cheese production. After Mort's death in 1878, and in 1887 his trustees set up the Bodalla Company to put the main asset of the estate on a business footing.

The company was incorporated in 1887 under the provisions of the New South Wales Bodalla Estate Act1886.
