Lake View and Star Limited was established in 1910, an amalgamation of Lake View Consols Limited and Hannan's Star Limited both of which had their beginnings with the discovery of the 'Golden Mile' in the mid 1890's. In the 1920's and 1930's Lake View and Star Further expanded by acquiring gold mines such as "Chaffers", "Ivanhoe" and "Golden Horse Shoe". Later it also acquired Imperial Gold Mines Limited. In 1973 it joined Gold Mines of Kalgoorlie to become Kalgoorlie Lake View Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Western Mining Corporation. |
