Summary

In 1988 the Victorian Rural Finance Act 1988 was passed and the Rural Finance Commission's name was changed to the Rural Fiance Corporation.

In 1988/89 the new corporation assumed responsibility for the functions of the Victorian Economic Development Corporation.

In 2014 the loan book and associated assets were sold to the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited.

The Corporation was wound up by the Victorian Government in 2016 and it's residual functions were tansferrd to a new entity the Rural Services Commissioner.
